FAQ
Q: Will I need money for anything?
A: Bring money for the raffles, as all money raised will benefit our local Protectors of Animals. Rita's Ice will be selling italian ice, custards, and other frozen treats; and some vendors will be selling goods as well. Everything else is free!
Q: Where do I park?
A: There is parking all along Green Cemetery Road, off of Hubbard St. near the corner of Hubbard & Main. If all of those spots are taken, overflow parking is at Clark Field, which is around the corner to the left on Main St. There is no parking allowed along Hubbard St. or Main St., and if you park on any side streets, you may be towed.
Q: What kind of pets can I bring?
A: The blessing of the animals is open to all pets, as long as they are leashed or in a crate or cage. The rest of the event is catered mainly to dogs, but some of the booths and attractions (like Draw Your Pet or Photos with Your Pet) will work with other animals.
Q: Will there be bathrooms on site?
A: There will be two portable bathrooms for humans and lots of grass for dogs - just bring bags and clean up after your pets!
Q: Will there be food sold on site?
A: There will be free water and snacks provided for all pets and their owners (until we run out). Rita's Ice will be selling italian ice, custards, and other frozen treats. Individual vendors may be selling pet treats as well. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink, as long as you don't mind fifty dogs drooling at you while you eat.
Q: Who is organizing this event and why?
A: This event was organized by NewLife Christian Fellowship of Glastonbury with help from local pet businesses out of our desire to bless our town with a fun and free event. And because we love our pets.
Q: Who should I call if I'm not sure about the weather?
A: If you are unsure if the event will happen because of inclement weather, call NewLife Christian Fellowship at 659-8010 on the day of the event. The rain date is October 5th, same time and place.
Q: Who should I contact if I have more questions?
A: Please call Eric Stillman of NewLife Christian Fellowship at 659-8010 or e-mail him here
